| Chinchillas are beautiful, intelligent and inquisitive. Only have chinchillas if you have the time for them and the space. They need a decent sized cage and plenty of space to play as they should be let out for exercise regularly. They also need a bland, dry diet without any of the silly coloured treats that are sold in pet shops! Their digestive system can only cope with plain, dry foods and feeding them too many treats or the wrong foods can cause them stomach upsets! They are also quite expensive where vet treatment is concerned as they are classed as an exotic animal. If you serious want a chinchilla as a pet then find out more about them first and join a forum! |
